In accordance with By-law 07-92, please be advised that the Town of Grimsby is proposing an increase in the Planning Fees for 2012. Outdoor Ice Rink
Feb 9 /12 12:58 pm: The outdoor rink is currrently CLOSED.
Please be reminded that the weather will affect the ice conditions and at times will result in the ice not being useable. A sign is posted at the rink that will indicate whether it is open or closed. This website will also be updated as to the status of the rinki. Please note - there may be a delay on updates during the weekend times as website editors are not working during this time and may not have immediate access to internet services.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective Feb 1/12 there is a change to the weekend schedule. Shinny Hockey will not begin until 9 am on Sat and Sun ..this is in consideration of the neighbouring houses. The rest of the schedule remains the same.
We also ask that you avoid slapshots and excessive noise after 8:00 pm.
The rink will alternerate between Public Skating and Shinny Hockey use. We ask that you respectfully adhere to the time schedule for the safety of all community members. The schedule is as follows:

PART-TIME / PAID ON-CALL FIREFIGHTERS
Information packages are available at Grimsby Station One, 261 Ontario Street during regular buisness hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm). Deadline for submisions is Friday February 17, 2012 at 12:00 pm (noon).
You must be a resident of Grimsby to apply.

The Grimsby Heritage Advisory Committee is hosting the 8th Annual Heritage Art Competition. The theme of this year's competition will be the War of 1812 with entries focused around the local battles, historical homes and lifestyles that define Grimsby's involvement in this historical event.
