IMPORTANT
JANUARY 2010 PRE-AUTHORIZED TAX INSTALLMENT
For those taxpayers enrolled in our monthly pre-authorized payment plan, it has come to our attention that the January 15th installment was withdrawn from your bank account as of January 12, 2010. The Town had arranged for this transaction to be reversed. If the transaction has not yet been reversed, please contact us as soon as possible.
To allow for this correction, the regular January 15th installment will be postponed one week and will now occur on January 22, 2010.
Please review your bank account. If you have incurred charges with regard to this transaction, please supply us with a photocopy of your bank statement showing the charges and a refund will be issued to you.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and if you require further information please contact the Tax Department at 905-945-9634.

Downtown Grimsby
Community Improvement Plan
The Town of Grimsby is holding a Public Meeting to receive comments regarding a proposed Community Improvement Plan for the Grimsby Downtown.
The Community Improvement Plan (or CIP) is a planning tool under authority provided under Section 28 of the Planning Act to establish a strategy for public improvements within a defined area (Downtown) and enabling the Town to provide financial incentives that are designed to help stimulate improvements, investments and rehabilitate properties in the CIP area.

The Olympic Torch is coming through Grimsby on the morning of Sunday, December 20, 2009. We are part of day 52 for the Olympic torch relay, which is a 106 day journey that concludes once it reaches Vancouver on February 12, 2010.
The Olympic Torch Relay is an opportunity to be a part of an international event that promotes unity, activity and community spirit .. and it is something that we won't likely see again in Grimsby for a very long time.
