On April 5th, 2010,  the Council of the Town of Grimsby passed a by-law for the Downtown Community Improvement Plan.

The Town of Grimsby is pleased to announce its participation in a public space recycling pilot program with Niagara Region, other local municipalities and Refreshments Canada.  In an effort to increase Niagara’s waste diversion rate, the Region, the municipalities of Grimsby, Thorold, Wainfleet and St. Catharines and Refreshments Canada have teamed up to launch “Niagara Recycles…on the go!

Town of Grimsby 2010 Municipal Election

The next Town of Grimsby Municipal Election will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010. Grimsby's upcoming election will be conducted using the Vote-by-Mail method.  To view a demonstration, please click http://www.datafix.com/tutorials/vbm

The Good Government Act, 2009, Bill 212, was proclaimed on December 17, 2009.  The amendments to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (MEA) came into effect January 1, 2010.

Nominations to run for office in the 2010 Municipal Election may be filed from January 4, 2010 to September 9, 2010 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The deadline to submit Nomination Papers has CHANGED this year compared to previous election years.  You must file your Nomination Papers before 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010.
