The Building Department is comprised of two sections:

The Building Permits and Inspections Sevices section is responsible for receiving, reviewing and issuing building permit applications in conformance with the Building Code Act, Ontario Building Code and other Applicable Law. This section also includes property reports, inspections of properties under construction and granting occupancies.

The By-law Enforcement section is responsible for the enforcement of city by-laws regulating use and activity on private property.
