They may be responding to a neighbour or even a loved ones home, every second counts!  The volunteer firefighter’s vehicle is not designated as an emergency response vehicle; as such your assistance in yielding the right of way is paramount to the effectiveness of the green light program. As our town grows, so does the traffic volume; inevitably resulting in longer response times. With your help, flashing green lights are an effective tool to reduce response times and deployment rates of emergency apparatus.

If you see a vehicle with a flashing green light please pull over (when safe to do so), come to a complete stop, and allow the firefighter to pass. Please help us help you!
