Town Council Adopts New Official Plan |

On November 16, 2009, Grimsby Council passed By-law 09-87 to adopt a new Official Plan for the Town of Grimsby. The new Official Plan has been sent to the Regional Municipality of Niagara for approval.
Any person or public body is entitled to receive Notice of Decision of the Region of Niagara if a written request to be notified of the decision is made to the Region of Niagara. Requests should be sent to the Regional Municipality of Niagara, 2201 St. David's Road, Thorold, ON L2V 4T7. A copy of the new Official Plan can be viewed at the Town of Grimsby offices at 160 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby or by clicking the links below.

Winston Neighbourhood Secondary Plan
On November 16, 2009, Grimsby Council passed By-law 09-86, to adopt a Secondary Plan for the Winston Neighbourhood. The Winston Neighbourhood Secondary Plan affects the lands bounded by Lake Ontario on the north, QEW on the South, Grimsby Water Treatment Plant on the east and Town of Grimsby/City of Hamilton boundary on the west.
The Winston Neighbourhood Secondary Plan has been sent to the Regional Municipality of Niagara for approval.

The Official Plan for the Town of Grimsby was approved by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs on June 30, 1988. The general purpose of the Official Plan is to provide goals, objectives and policies to guide Council on land use matters. Where necessary the Plan also provides guidance with respect to social, economic and environmental matters which are relevant to land use matters.
