On April 5th, 2010,  the Council of the Town of Grimsby passed a by-law for the Downtown Community Improvement Plan.

The 2009 Grimsby Community Profile provides a detailed overview of the Town, including current information on location (maps), quality of life (demographics, labour force, education facilities, recreation services) and economic indicators (transportation, utilities, businesses, development).
