Prior to the erection or placement of any portable sign, permanent sign or advertising device, a sign permit must be obtained. These permits are administered in accordance with Grimsby's Sign By-Law 97-45 to ensure they are constructed in a safe manner and that streetscapes and building facades are maintained in an orderly manner free from unsightly clutter.
Depending on the location of your sign approval from the Niagara Region or the Ministry of Transporation may be required. Approval from these agencies is required prior to issuance of the Town permit.
